  Maine Woods Initiative

Having reached our $1000 goal to protect one acre of the Maine Woods, we issued a challenge to the rest of the 13 AMC Chapters at the Fall Gathering in

Crawford Notch, to equal our feat. This success has raised our enthusiasm for this very worthy effort to the point that we increased

our fund raising goal for the MWI from $1000 in 2007 to a total of $10,000 by October, 2008 (an additional $9,000). We believe this is a

wonderful opportunity to reach a lofty goal and do something spectacular while building a long lasting legacy to CT Chapter Conservation.

Whatever we are able to build, with the help and support of the MWI leaders, may serve as a destination for CT Members (Stay at the CT Chapter Lean-to in
