· 7:00 - 7:45: Guest speaker - Bob Wall, "Smart Power" Bob Wall spent a little over an hour sharing an unbelievable wealth of knowledge on topics including CT's Clean Energy Communities (20% clean energy by 2010, 50% by 2020) and data on where our clean energy comes from (Do you know what Biomass means?). He gave us facts around the "Clean Energy Program" in CT, i.e. 7000 members signed up between April 05 and Feb 06 for clean energy, and great talking points for to put in our tool boxes for every day conversation/debate over the future of our energy. For example; did you know Connecticut is a world leader in response to Global Warming? Or that "All serious studies show that renewable energies have greater job potential than fossil fuels". * Dear Dr. Loxsam:

Thank your taking for taking the time to speak to the Conservation Committee on February 8th. We are very grateful that you volunteered to share your expertise with our group. The information you provided regarding alternative energy resources was valuable and educational. As a result of your presentation, a number of our members have signed up for the Connecticut Clean Energy Options Program, and have encouraged friends and family to do so as well.

Please accept this gift as our thanks for sharing your time with us. We enjoyed your presentation very much, and again, we thank you for your time.

We look forward to working with you in the future, and we hope to see you at the Earth Day events at CCSU on April 19th.

Best regards,

Trish Urso on behalf of The Connecticut Chapter AMC Conservation Committee
