                    ~ Numerous Earth Day activities recognized by AMC President
                    ~ Strong showing at the Still River Clean up in Danbury
                    ~ Many volunteers on Give a Day to Trails day for AT maintenance
                    ~ Represented at the CFCRC multi-use trails meetings
                    ~ Participated in the AMC “Think Tank” on how to proceed in the NE CT & SW Mass Highlands
                    ~ Successful July Paddle and Clean up at Bigelow Hollow State Park
                    ~ Initiated partnership with Smart Power, working to expose more people to clean energy options and obtain Photovoltaic Solar          Panels for a CT Science Center in AMC's name (on going)
                    ~ August Vis Vol Hike on Chauncey Peak

Short Description: The CT Chapter AMC has an active conservation committee dedicated to representing AMC members in both local and broad ranging environmental issues.  Learn ways you can take part in club conservation action or do your part as an individual.  All topics are fair game including...  Global Warming, Important Legislation, Energy Conservation and Trail Cleanups 
                    5. October 13 to 15 – AMC Fall Gathering
                    6. October 21 – Bulls Bridge AT Cleanup (Listed on new members AMC magazine wrapper)
                    7. The Great Warming: Jim has obtained a copy of this movie and is working towards showing it for free at Wesleyan University. Anyone in Committee that wants to can work on organizing a showing in another place. See TheGreatWarming.com for info about the film.
                    8. November 17 & 18 - Leadership Training weekend at White Memorial

· 8:35 – 8:45: Things we’d like to do…
                    1. Design & Order AMC Roadside signs (before 10/21)
                    2. Design & Order AMC Conservation Volunteer Pinnies (before 10/21)
                    3. Act as a clearinghouse for recycling information; household chemicals, sneakers, etc. – Andrew, Russ
                    4. Have a cook out a luncheon/social/hike at Hubbard Park, sell tickets for $10.00 (100 tickets) and hope to make $5.00 profit per person. This would get the ball rolling for projects! - Russ
                    5. Back the “CT Clean Cars Alliance” § (Contact is Terri Kinney at the CT Fund for the Environment - 203-787-0646)
                    6. Social at CFPA, Movie Showing of The Dimming Sun: PBS's NOVA examines new evidence that air pollution has masked the full impact of global warming, suggesting that the world may soon face a heightened climate crisis
