Bulls Bridge Clean-up AT and River Shore Cleanup

Kent, CT
October 20, 2007

Members of the CT AMC Conservation Committee were joined by other members (from both CT and NY) along with cadets and parents from the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps - Barque Eagle Division to clean up the Housatonic River shore and a section of the Appalachian Trail at Bulls Bridge in Kent, CT. All together we had 26 people participating! Even more than last year's record 24! With so many people we were finished in about three hours and had collected many bags of trash, a bicycle, bicycle parts, a grill, and took out many old pieces of scrap metal from the Ten Mile River lean-to. Thanks to all those that participated in the event and made it a great success. We couldn't have worked so fast and covered as much ground if everyone hadn't given us a couple of hours of their time on a beautiful fall Saturday.
