CT AMC Conservation Committee

Still River Greenway and Waterway Cleanup (Danbury-Brookfield, CT)

Members of the CT AMC Conservation Committee participated among many other dedicated volunteers in the Still River Greenway and Waterway Cleanup, May 20, 2006.  This activity was organized and sponsored by Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) and Mountain Workshop.  Volunteers were split into several groups.  Some groups were based on the land and others were on the water.  Volunteers from the Conservation Committee (John Crist, Aimee Santeler, Keith Santeler) were on two separate teams both land based.  Garbage and debris were collected as the teams walked portions of the greenway, along the banks of the Still River.  The cleanup was a well organized outing and a great accomplishment for the community.
