How to join a CT AMC Email List and What to Expect When You Do
With minor exceptions you can join all of the lists shown above (called "Groups" on Yahoo) by sending a blank email to the address shown in the table above. Click on the link for the list you want to join, your email editor will open and then click send. You will receive a confirmation message from Yahoo. Follow the instructions in that message to confirm that you want to join the list. This extra step prevents a spammer from putting you on a list you do not want.
The exceptions to this process are noted where you must include your name and home town in the email. The list moderator will then add you to the list. This process may take a couple of days.
Most lists are for announcements only so you will receive only a few emails per month. If you reply to a message, the email goes only to the moderator who posted the message. Traffic on lists that allow discussion will vary from one or two to many messages depending on events and member interests. Replies on discussion lists generally go to all list members.
